Well today was a pretty good day but it was freezing tonight! I couldn't believe how cold it was here and I normally don't get cold ever. I guess living in Las Vegas and now Okinawa has made me soft when it comes to the cold weather. Thank goodness there wasn't a Fallen Comrade ceremony today or last night. That was starting to get a little depressing. The week has went by fairly quickly for me and I hope that keeps up. My Nike+ sensor has bit the dust so I am back to the trusty treadmill for my totals now. I am kind of relieved because that thing was giving me all sorts of stress! It will be nice to have a day off from running on Sunday, I think I will switch my longer runs to Monday because I am normally in the gym around 1AM when no one is in there so I can run for a couple of hours and not get dirty looks from the people who want to use "my" treadmill.
Today's run felt pretty good. Today was supposed to be my long run day but I don't see how that is going to work out with running during work. Today I ran 7.52 miles, burned 1,493 calories, and I ran for 85 minutes. I am pleased with my weekly totals but a little frustrated that I didn't hit the 40 mile mark for the week. Maybe next week! My weekly totals are as follows: I ran 38.17 miles, burned 7,645 calories, and I ran for 7 hours and 17 minutes. And I probably haven't lost any weight this week because I have been eating carelessly. I guess we will find out Monday when I weigh in. I just hope I didn't gain back all 20 lbs.!!!! Well I hope everyone is having a good weekend and I love and miss you all. Until next time...

Hello boy, it is a little after 8:00 in the morning and I again am trying to start cleaning the room from hell (also known as the pink room)every time I walk in here I feel the vortex trying to suck me in and not let me out so I NEED to clean this room, you know feng shey (or however you spell it). The first thing I do in the mornings is to read yours and Heather's blog and kind of assure myself you are all doing semi okay. My heart goes out to all of the Fallen and their families. I was talking about to someone in the store the other day about you and some man waiting in line told me to tell you, Thank you for all that you do for this country. I was really touched by his comment. But you know there are so many people out there that feel the same way this man does. We are very proud of you all. Well enough senitment and back to the room from hell. I love you and miss you so much. Be safe. Your Mom
Hi, still alive cleaning this room and listening to Mama Mia, I found a bunch of your old ties in the white dresser, do you want me to send them to you at home or do you want me to throw them away? Let me know. Love ya, Momma
Your week totals looked pretty good to me. I will probably stay around the 30 mile per week mark for now so I took Friday off. I did run what you did the other day though. I ran 7.55 miles for the 85 minutes and burn around 1283 calories. Struggled a little at the end to get the mileage in. Any finished run is a good run. I will try and bike at least once or twice a week to do a little cross training. It seems that when I get much over 30 miles a week I break down. This time I will build really slowly now I am at 30. A package came today for you. It is a Nike Sport Armband for iPod nano and a Nike+ Sport Kit Case. Do you still want it sent with all the trouble you are having with the Nike+. My week run totals are at work so I will send them Monday with my weight gain or loss. take care love ya dad
Hey Bro, sounds like things are going well for you there with your running. Keep it up I know it has to help the time fly by. I am hopeing to hit it this week now that I am done with my two jobs. Take it easy and stay safe.
Bill
Mom and Dad,
I hope you got the room cleaned like you wanted too. I think your ghost messes up that room while you both are at work or something because that room never stays clean. It always makes me feel a little akward when people tell me thank you for my service. But I know people appreciate what we do. You can throw those ties away. I have plenty at the house that I never wear. If you could send me those things from Nike I would appreciate it. I got the new sensor because this one is garbage. I have never had one suck as bad as the one I have now. I am glad that you are getting some good workouts in and the biking would be a great supplement to your running and save your knees a little bit. Well I love you both. Take care and I will talk to you again soon. Love, Brandon
Hey Bro,
It's always good to hear from you. I am glad that you are finished working your two jobs and can focus on the depot again. Hopefully now that you are settled out there again you can get in some workouts of your own. I hope things are good with you and your family. I love and miss you man. Take care and be safe.
Love, Brandon
