Out of Order!
Well I am out of commission for probably about a week with this nasty quarter size blister on my left big toe. It probably didn't help that I ran 10 miles yesterday but it had to be done. I don't think it would feel any different if I would have ran my regular 6 or 7 miles. I think that it just needs time to heal. That is not to say that I didn't try to run on it this morning but it didn't work out for me and I had to stop after run/walking for 1.5 miles. About that time that I realized that trying to run through it was pointless and now I just need to NOT run which will kill me but it is a necessary evil. I hope that it won't take longer than a week to heal though. In the mean time I will try my hand at weight lifting and riding the stationary bike for my cardio until this bad boy heals and I can run again. I guess I will really have to step it up in July and August if I want to meet my 600 mile goal by the time I leave this place. Well I hope everyone is doing good and I will try to keep this blog going during my hiatus. I love and miss everyone. Until next time...

Sorry about the blister. I know how miserable they can be. When it gets healed somewhat, see if there is a place that sales moleskin and medical tape. Put the soft part of the moleskin next to the blister, maybe with a little neosporin and tape it to your big toe. It really works, ultra runner use it all the time. I know it is hard not running but look at the positive side. You have been pushing your body real hard for some time and the rest from running will let the body repair some of the micro tear in the muscle tissue and let your immune system rebuild. You can still lose weight riding the stationary bike and weight lifting. Don't let it get you down. Do you still want me to post my totals. I don't want to make things worse. I will post for today until you let me know. Monday totals: 6 miles in 70 minutes (better time for me) and burned 1083 calories. Knee held up ok. Keep exercising. love ya dad
It is frustrating when I want to run but can't. I know I need to start lifting some weights and I have a plan to start Monday. Plus I am looking forward to it which is weird because I don't like lifting weights. It only took a couple of days for the toe to heal up where I could run on it again. The main aliment that I have is my right shin is killing me. I had Heather order me a shin splint brace which should help with the irratation. The rest is nice but I'd rather be running.
