Running Totals for 30 Jul 09
Well today was the day that I finally got rid of the kidney stone that I didn't even feel the whole time that I had it. I think that was the most worrisome part is I wasn't sure if it was just a UTI or if I actually had a kidney stone. I would have to say that this is a first for me not even feeling it until I pee'd it out. Anyways, I am glad that it is out and now I hope the minor UTI I am dealing with will soon pass also. NOW, one of my toenails is about to fall off!! Holy crap, I think I might be falling apart now!! The toe by my big toe was pretty sensitive so I thought I would cut my toe nails before I went to run today and when I cut that particular toe there was a huge blister underneath the toenail. I would be lying if I said it didn't make me a little queasy when it happened. It was pretty nasty. Now I have to look forward to that toenail just falling off one day cause I am not pulling that bad boy off! No way! My run today was a little tough. My legs are spent from my upbeat run yesterday. I ran 6.46 miles today, burned 1,157 calories, and I ran for 65 minutes. All in all it was a pretty good workout. Just one more day in July and then on to August the month I'm supposed to go home, hooray!!! Until next time...

You are too young to be falling apart so just quit it. Sorry about the toe and I am glad you were able to pass the kidney stone okay but isn't it kind of scary you didn't know it was a stone? Take care of yourself. Your mother worries about you. I love and miss you tons. Be safe. Love you, Mom
Glad you passed the stone. Sorry about the blister. Trials and tribulations of a runner. Makes you wonder why we do it. It makes people like your Grandmother crazy that we do these things to ourselves. Usually only runners understand what we put our bodies through. Your mom is one of the non runner that understands, doesn't mean that she likes to see it though. Was it the shoes you are wearing that caused the blister? My total for Wednesday were. Ran 6.33 miles which took 68 minutes and burned 1079 calories. Getting a little closer to 10 minute miles but feel really tired. BAD RUN, GOOD RUN, JUST RUN. love ya dad
Hey Bro, sorry to hear of your trials and tribulations. Hope you get to feeling better soon and are back on your game. I am in the middle of one of my 36 hour shifts at Disneyland. I know it don't sound like much but they thought it would be a good idea to bake us in the sun for 2 1/2 hours yeterday during a stupid exercise in the middle of the day. Needless to say that my Body Armor diet is going well. I have been more consistant with my working out and so has Em. I figure I am about the age that Dad started so maybe I will follow in his footsteps. So what is the go home date for you? Has there been any talk of extending you or is it a pretty sure thing? I hope it all goes well and you get the HELL out of there ASAP. I have a question how come there is an additional half hour time differance in Afraganistan? Are they that special or do they not know how to conform to the rest of the world. Well I will get for now, take care and keep your head up. Love ya, Bill
I am happy that I passed my stone also. The blister is probably because when I run I push that toe up so it rubs against the top of my shoe. The faster I run, the harder it rubs. It did it in Kuwait also but the blister is underneath my toenail this time and has lifted it up. It will eventually fall off giving my an ugly toe!! I am leaving towards the end of the month and it is pretty certain. The only way I would stay longer is if the plane broke down that has my replacement on it. I can't say the exact day but I am sure you understand why I can't. As for the time thing I don't have a clue, they are just a little different in this part of the world I guess. Well I hope you all are well and I hope you all have a great weekend.
Love ya!
