Running Totals for 25 Jul 09 & Weekly Totals

Well I made it through another week...barely! I almost gave up on my run today because my leg was killing me. But I did what I could do and it took me a lot longer to get the mileage I wanted but I got it done. My hamstring just would not loosen up for nothing! On top of that my shin killed and pretty much my right leg hurt from my foot all the way up into my hip flexor. So needless to say I am happy that tonight I don't HAVE to run. My legs can use the rest and they are going to need it because I have a 14 miler on Monday to knock out. I also didn't take any Advil for my run and I am thinking that was a mistake. I am looking forward to my shin splint brace to get here. I hope that will alleviate some of the problems I am currently dealing with. My legs have to hold out for a little over another month and I will give them a break all the way back to Okinawa. Then I will pick it up again. Anyways, I ran/ walked 6.63 miles today, burned 1,201 calories, and it took me 76 minutes to finish. My weekly totals are as follows: I ran 46.92 miles this week, burned 8,497 calories this week, and it took me 7 hours and 52 minutes this week. It was a good week of running, I just pray that my legs hold out until I go back home. I hope everyone has a great weekend. Until next time...

I hope your legs held up for your run today. You motivated me though. I had 4 days off and kept putting off the running I needed to do. Today (Sunday) I said if Brandon can do it on sore legs so can I. So I ran my 12 miles that I needed to get my 31 for the week. Like yours it was miserable. No wind, my allergies are acting up again and my right hip (sciatic I think) has been acting out. You ran through your problems and I did to. I will post my week totals and if I lost any weight tomorrow. I hope your run was good. I just read that old saying again that a bad run is better than no run. love ya dad

I agree with you that a bad run is better than no run at all. Matter of fact that is my new mantra for crappy runs. I am glad that you got your distance in. I hope that your allergies will cooperate with you so you can get some running or biking in either way. We are getting down to my last month and I still have 16 lbs to lose before I leave here. I have lost 14 in July and I hope to lose the last 16before I leave. I hope your weekend was good.

Love ya, Brandon
