Running Totals for 10 Jul 09
Well we are finally ten days into July and for some reason those are the slowest days of the month for me. After the 10th day is seems like the rest of the month goes pretty quickly for me or at least I hope that is the case this month and next month. I am pretty wore out from this weeks running and I am happy that I only have one more day of running this week. Another 8 mile run and that will put me over 50 miles for the week which I am very excited about. That will be the most I have ever ran in a single week. Today's run was a beast because I did squats and my legs are sore once again. It is not the same as when I started lifting (thank goodness) but they are pretty sore none the less. But I gritted through it and got my run in today. I think the thing that I am most concerned is once I break 50 miles and then have one day off and then on Monday I am set to run a 12 miler. We will see how my legs hold up for that. I think that I will take it easy next week and cut my miles back a little bit to give me legs a chance to recuperate. Anyhoo, I ran 8.2 miles, burned 1,541 calories, and I ran for 86 minutes. I hope everyone is doing good and I hope you have a great weekend. Go Lance!! Until next time...

Hi boy, well we are home from our vacation. Your dad was sick a good part of it with allergies but we had a good time. When we left Yellowstone yesterday it was 38 degrees, pretty chilly. Then we get home and it is 95. Quite the change. We had a good time in Lava as well. Maybe when you get stationed back in the states we can do Yellowstone with the girls and Billy and family. We will rent cabins in the park, that is the only way to go. Sounds like your running is going well. Your dad said he hasn't written to you because he is embarassed because he hasn't run any. Well I will close for now. Just remember you are in our thoughts and prayers as well as your family. We love and miss you and hope to maybe talk to you this weekend. Be safe. Love ya, Mom
P.S. And yes your dad about died when there was no TV in Yellowstone to watch Lance......
Hey Bro it has been a long time since I have been in contact with you. It sounds like your training is going good and I am really impressed by your work out. I started working out today just with some weights because I forgot my gym shorts at work. I am at 304 lbs which is the lowest I have been for a long time. I call it the body armor diet. I am sure you are familiar with this one. I have been sick for about the last two weeks but I need to get started so I am not getting sick so often. We are looking at moveing to Mona and building a house down there at some point. I am on shift now so my pay will be better. I have been working 2 36 hour shifts a week and I am trying to adjust to that. I need the overtime to make up for the loss in pay from the job change. I hope all is well with you and you are staying safe. Love ya and I will be better about staying in touch.
Well it is good to see that you (Mom and Dad) had a good time up in Yellowstone. That sucks that dad was having trouble with his allergies. I am looking forward to having a couple weeks off when I get back home to Okinawa. I will definitely need it after this wonderful place! I am so jumpy now, it drives me crazy.
Bill it's good that you are at your other job now and hopefully you can find a schedule that works for you. I think moving down to Mona would be a good move for you and your family. I hope that it all works out great for you what ever you decide to do.
Well I should end because I need to get some sleep before work tonight. I love and miss you all very much.
Love, Brandon
