Running Totals for 01 Aug 09, Weekly Totals, & July End of Month Totals
Boy I guess I picked a bad day to skip posting yesterday. Just look at the title and you know why! Well another week of running has wrapped up and we are finally, finally in August and that makes me happy. I always look forward to my day off from work and from running. Plus it doesn't hurt that I catch up on my sleep for the entire week all in one day. Anyways, let's get down to business. Today I ran 6.5 miles, burned 1,166 calories, and I ran for 65 minutes. My weekly totals are as follows: I ran 47.63 miles, burned 8,545 calories, and I ran for 7 hours & 49 minutes. Now my totals for the month of July are as follows: I ran 213.07 miles, burned 39, 331 calories, and I ran for a very, very long time! In July I lost 14.2 lbs. and I hope to duplicate that in August even though I won't have as many days to run this month because I am leaving towards the end of the month. But I will do what I can do and hopefully my legs don't fall off!! Until next time...

I am glad that August is finally here. I hope the month flys by for you. A 200+ mile month, that is great and your speed has been better. I think that the way you are running, you can get the extra weight off, just keep at it. My weight is finally coming off. I am having a hard time getting out of the 220's. I get to 221 and bounce back to 222 or 223. My body likes being in the 220's. Just have to buckle down and watch what I eat. I finally got in a 32 miles week and it was hard for me. I have no problems with running at work but when I get home I have trouble. It took me Fri and Sat to run the last 8 miles. I will write my totals on Monday since the log I use is on my work computer. I will try and go for a long bike ride tomorrow. Only riding once a week they need to be long rides. You take care love ya dad
I start my marathon training on Monday. I am looking forward to it. It seems like the Hal Higdon 18 Week training program will be my guide to running the Naha Marathon the first weekend in December. It is still a bit overwhelming but if I buckle down and stick with his program and pay attention to what I am consuming I should be fine. My goal is to finish the marathon in the 6 hour time limit. I don't want to be told to move to the sidewalk, take off my number bib, and quit running. I want to finish that race! I hope you all had a great weekend.
Love Brandon
