Running Totals for 13 May 09

Well once again it took me about 30 minutes to get into my run but I wasn't as tired today as I was yesterday. I decided to put in a 10K today because I had it in me and so I did it. I don't think I can do that everyday at the moment but every once in awhile should be fine until my body adapts to running. My left knee was bothering me a little bit so I think I will cut it back to 5 miles a day for the rest of the week except for my longer run on Sunday. If it keeps bothering me then it will be time to whip out the Icy Hot and rub it down. My totals for today are as follows: I ran 6.13 miles, burned 1265 calories, and I went for 69 minutes. It was a good work out but I think I need to slow it down a little bit because I don't want to do too much too early. My body is still adjusting to running everyday so I need to give it time to adapt. Plus the elevation is killer! I thought I would have had a tougher time adjusting but it still isn't a walk in the park. I know things will get easier as I get lighter. I hope everyone is doing great. Until next time...

I haven't got any workouts lite for heavy so far this week. Just taking it easy. Your doing a good job. Stay with it. love ya dad

I am starting to feel good running. I thought it would take a lot longer to get back into it but I find myself wanting to go farther everyday. I know I need to pace myself and take it easy for about the first month and then I want to turn it on and put up more mileage OR add your weight lifting plan into my day. I still have a little while to figure out what direction I want to go in. I can focus mainly on running while I am here and then incorperate weights when I get back to Okinawa. Then while I am here I could work on my Push Ups and Sit Ups for my Fit Test when I get back. I guess I got some thinking to do. Any suggestions would be welcome. Love You both.
