Happy Birthday Genavieve!!

Two years ago our youngest was born and blessed our family. I wish I was there to give her hugs and kisses and I miss my family very much. The good thing is we have Skype so I got to see her pretty, happy little face. It would be very nice to be home and spend this happy day with my family. I love and miss them all. Since the day before yesterday I only got 4 1/2 hours of sleep so I decided to take yesterday as my day off. I literally slept the day away until I had to go to work. I was refreshed for today's run and it was a good one. Since I took yesterday off I decided that today would be my long run day. Today I ran 8.13 miles, burned 1,635 calories, and I ran for 87 minutes. The best part is I felt like I could of ran for a really long time. My legs feel good and so do my knees. I had Heather order me a new pair of Pearl Izumi's which I love to run in. They are my favorite. Well I will cut this sort but I love you all, until next time...

Hi boy, I just got done blogging Evie for her birthday. I know it really hard for you to be away from her on her special day. I know it is very hard for me and all I could do is look at her little sweet face and cry. It sucks to be a mother and a grammy and be so far from her loved ones. Okay, enough of that. I am proud of your running and what you are accomplising. This Memorial Day will be remembering you and all who are keeping our freedom secure, thank you. I love and miss you and always be safe. Mom

I am glad to see you sticking with it. You are smart listening to your body and finally getting in some much needed rest. I am proud of you and what you are doing for our country. I know this is hard being away from your family during there special times. Thursday I got in a 45 minute walk for 2.49 miles and burned 322 calories. We went to see Star Trek Thursday night and I had a hard time staying awake. I came home and crashed at 10 pm and slept until 0800. I woke up still tired. That marathon must have really kicked my butt. Today Friday I am not doing nothing, just eat good and rest, maybe try a run tomorrow. You take care. love ya dad

So Star Trek was that good huh! You couldn't stay awake for it. Maybe I don't want to see it now LOL. It always feels weird that people thank me for my service, I guess to me this feels like a regular job. No more dangerous then what Dad does on a daily basis. But thank you, I really appreciate your support in what we are trying to do here. It is good to see that you are easing back into your workouts Dad. I can imagine what it is like after a marathon to get back into things. I have been reading Hal Higdon's Marathon book which is really good. They talk about getting back into running after a marathon and some people say you should take a day off for every mile ran. And other people say you should take a day off for every kilometer you ran. That is 42 days of no running! Stupid metric system. I am going to follow his program which is an 18 week program which will start the first week of August for me. The Naha marathon should be the first week of December. You should look him up online, that is if you haven't been on his website previously. Well I know this is long but I love and miss you both very much. Take care and I will talk to you again soon. Love, Brandon
