Totals for 14 Jun 10
Well today was hell day because it was my first day back to working out and boy did I feel it!!! It is amazing how bad my ride to and from work hurts my quads. It is killer! The hill over by my work coming home just about does me in and I have just enough energy to get back home in one piece. I am sure it will get better with time but I am sure looking forward to that day. My run "mostly walk" tonight took its toll on me also. The hills of Okinawa are trying to kill me!! The positive thing to take away from today was I got out there and did something. My totals are as follows: I biked 5.37 miles & I burned 693 calories. I ran/ walked 5.27 miles & I burned 889 calories. It's amazing that 30 minutes of strenuous bike riding burns almost as many calories as 70 minutes of run/walking. It must be the different exertion levels. Anyways I am off to bed to die! Until next time...

I bet those hill are killers. I have lowry and jensen lane hills. Palisades pretty rough when I ride it. The thing that was hard for me to get used to was the bicylce seat. I have been riding pretty steady for a month and it still is tender. Keep up the good work. love ya dad
