I'm happy that this week is over with and I am looking forward to the 3 day weekend because of the Super Bowl. I don't care who wins but I sure appreciate the day off. I just found out today that I am one of the top 5 alternates now for the Academy. What does that mean? It means I have to show up on the first day of the Academy and see if I get to attend the class if someone doesn't show up. It sucks but it is what it is. I was also talking to my supervisor MSgt Strub and he was saying that if I don't go before I leave Kadena there's a good chance that while I'm in Korea they would send me back to Okinawa for the 6 weeks for the Academy. That is hilarious!! I leave Kadena just to come back and and go to the Academy. Man I love how the Air Force works sometimes.
Anyways I got in the exact same run as I did yesterday almost down to the second. I got in 5.43 miles and it was a pretty good run. I always see my Commander at the gym while I'm running on the treadmill. This is the second time I've been under the command of Lt. Col. Henderson. He was my Captain at Aviano, he came to inspect us a couple of times while I was at Nellis (he was a Major then), and now he is the 18th LRS Commander here at Kadena. It's a small Air Force world that's for sure. It's funny, because he'll call me by my full name every time he sees me. It freaks people out when he does it but I've known him for a long time. Almost the same amount of time I've known Col. Kirk Davies. All good people. Until next time...
STATS FOR FEBRUARY:
Weight- 260.8 lbs (274.4)
Mileage- 16.26 miles
*ONLY 57 MORE DAYS UNTIL MY PT TEST MONTH*
