Another week in the books...

Well my long run didn't go as planned and I have been thinking that I need to take a step back from my marathon training and just run what I can run from now on.  I am not in the shape that I need to be for this kind of hardcore marathon training.  I just don't have the endurance to run double digit runs at the moment.  So with that said I will continue to put in 6 days of running but more realistic mileage.  With that being said I don't think that Naha will happen.  We will see how I feel when it comes around but I don't think I will have the "base" mileage to complete the marathon in the allotted 6 hours.  I have come to terms with it and I am fine with it.  Maybe some other day but as of right now I want to focus on my weight loss because that is more important to me right now.  So with that being said I look forward to some great training days and looking forward to getting to lower digits on the scale...  JUST LOSE WEIGHT...

I don't know if your mom told you that I have a leg discrepancy with my right leg. I think that is why I have such bad sciatic problems with that leg. I hope you didn't get that from me. I guess the only thing good you got from me is the urge to run. Upon checking with all things great and small in the universe I think you were meant to run your first marathon with me! So you already have a start on your base mileage, so keep it up with the 25 to 30 mile weeks. I could look for a marathon here in May or we could wait until you get back from Korea. I still want to do more marathons but I need to build up my base mileage for 3 to 6 months then start a marathon training program. Let me know what you think of this and I will get started with my running here. love ya dad.
