No Running Today 28 Apr 10
I was quite sore from the last couple of days of running so I didn't want to push it today so I took it off. I found out some good news today is that I don't have my PT test until the 25th of May so that gives me a whole week more to train. So I am happy about that. I can also access my blog at work for the time being. I don't know how long this will be but we will use it while I can. Until next time...

Totals for 27 Apr 10
Well I am in the final countdown to my PT test on the 18th of May. Over the next 21 days I will be keeping track of my weight loss and I am going to give it an all out effort to lose as much as possible. Right now I am 268 lbs. and my pipe dream is to lose 20 lbs. It sounds impossible but I am going to try and knock it out of the park! I will track my weight every day along with my runs. Today I ran 6.49 miles and I burned approx. 1,354 treadmill calories. I need to keep this going and see where it takes me. Maybe this is the motivation I have been looking for. JUST RUN. Until next time...

Totals for 26 Apr 10
Well the beginning of another week. I went and ran on the treadmill tonight because it was raining and it was a cold rain. Cold rain translates into miserable run so I decided that indoors was the way to go. Got in a decent run tonight even though the treadmill helps me not cheat on my pace. So needless to say I was a little winded during my run but I got through it. I got in 6.29 miles and burned approx. 1,282 treadmill calories. My weight today is 270 lbs. So that means I am up 10 lbs from the first of the year. I am headed in the wrong direction. I am going to have to do something about that. Fitness test is coming up on the 18th of May but I am going to see if they can push it back to the end of the month because of my root canal around that same time. We will see. Until next time...

Well two days in a row now and the humidity is killer! But I got out there and did what I needed to do. Tomorrow I think I will hit the treadmill for my run to give my knees a break from the pounding pavement. Tonight I got in 6.14 miles and I burned 1,033 calories. It's a good start. Totals for 20 Apr 10
Well I am back at it this week after a hiatus but I am pressing forward and not dwelling on what I didn't do. Instead I am looking forward at what I need to do. I can't do anything about the past but I can change things for my future. So here we go again. Tonight was very humid and it felt like I was running in a sauna which felt pretty good. I got in 6.14 miles and burned 866 calories. Hopefully I can put together a good week. Only time will tell. Until next time...

Totals for 11 & 12 Apr 10
I real quick post with my totals for the last couple of days. Yesterday was my recovery day and I walked on the treadmill for an hour and got in 4 miles & burned 661 calories. Today it is so windy and I didn't have it in me to go run this morning. So that meant getting outside in the wind and getting in my workout which just about killed me. I got in 5.78 miles and I burned 1,027. At least I got the workout in. Until next time...

Totals for 10 Apr 10
Well day 2 of running on the treadmill and today was a killer workout. Mostly because I didn't want to go run because I didn't get that much sleep last night and we ate some crappy food over at the bowling alley so it wasn't sitting right in my stomach. But I went anyways and I am always glad that I did. Tomorrow will be my rest day and by that I mean go over to the gym and walk on the treadmill for an hour. I plan on doing something every day from here on out or at least I feel good about my progress again. Today I went for 6.67 miles and burned 1,411 calories. I weighed in yesterday at the gym and I was 268.5 lbs. I don't know if that scale is accurate but it will be the scale I will use to weigh myself each week. I hope to re-find my determination or the treadmill sickness once again. By treadmill sickness I mean where I start to go into withdrawals if I skip a day of running on the treadmill. I am definitely not there right now but give it a month or so and it will come. Until next time...

Totals for 09 Apr 10
Well the first day on the treadmill kicked my butt. You would think that running outside would be a lot tougher that running indoors but that isn't the case here. Maybe because I feel like I push myself a lot more on the treadmill. It was a good run today. I hope to keep it going and get back to where I was not too long ago. Today I ran 6.35 miles and burned 1,279 calories. It was a good cardio day. Until next time...

Rock Bottom Again!
Well it's official, I have lost all the endurance I built up while I was in Afghanistan. We are starting at rock bottom once again for my cardio endurance and weight. I am trading in the street running for the treadmill running until I can get a good base under my belt once again. It will be easier to get some weight off and not kill my legs in the process. After a couple of weeks of treadmill running, I will incorporate one long day of street running along with one day of speed work on the treadmill and we will go up to that point. I need to figure this out. Today I got in 4.88 miles and burned 655 calories. This was an eye opening experience for me today because I couldn't run the hills today so most of my cardio was walking. That sucks but it is my own fault and I have no one to blame but myself. I am the only one who can change me and I am doing a piss poor job so far this year. Time for a new way of thinking and time to make things more simplistic and not think about it so much. I just need to commit myself to being healthier and getting to where I want to be. Totals for 01 April 2010
Well I hope this is a start to a good month. I really didn't feel like getting out and running tonight but I didn't have an excuse not too so I went and it sucked!! But at least I got out there and got a work out in. I need to kick it in the butt this month for sure because next month is the test month once again and it will be close....once again. I should be fine if I can get in some good running this month and next. I hope that I can test on the 31st of May so it will give me a whole extra month to get down to where I want to be. OK, enough rambling, tonight I got in 5.71 miles and I burned 876 calories. I had to do a lot of walking on the hills because my legs felt dead tonight. Like I said, at least I got out there and got in the work out. Until next time...
