Weigh In Day & Running Totals for 7 Sep 09
Well I haven't run for 11 days and I could feel it tonight during my run. Plus I have eaten like garbage since I have been home especially today and that about killed me during my run tonight. Anyways it's time to get back on track now and get back to work. I am back up to 238 lbs. and it is time to get into the 220's and I think I have Heather on board this time (not like Kuwait where she was out to fatten me back up)!!! Anyways I ran 5.14 miles, burned 927 calories, and I ran for48 minutes. It was the first time that I ran the "loop" here in Oki and I am very happy about that. There is a MONSTER hill that I have been trying to run up since I arrived here and have yet to do it. So that made me happy tonight. I forgot how much the road kills your legs when you haven't ran on it for a long time. My legs will have to adjust to that. Well I am happy to be back home and running again. I love and miss you all in the good ole' USA. Until next time...

I am glad you are finally home. Sure it takes awhile to get adjusted to all the flying and time changes. The kid looked like they were glad to see you. Things are going ok here. We are just winding down our 4 day weekend. We didn't do anything, just hung around the house to let your mom get over her bug. I got in a lot of running. I hope the rest did your body good. I know that the transition from treadmill to road running is a shock. Then you through in the hills and the humidity and it would definitely be a shock. I ran 5 miles at race pace in 50 minutes and burned 850 calories. As you read on my blog training is going well. I am amazed that I haven't blown up yet. You take care love ya dad
I don't know how you guys do it, I remember back in the good ol Snow College days, when I'd go to your place in Manti, your dad would always be out running. Now you've taken to it, huh? Nice!
I can only get in a mile, sometimes less, before it seems like my shins are gonna explode and my lungs start burning... I know if I dropped some more weight it would help but easier said than done. When you started distance running how long did it take before even the first mile wasn't such a big deal?
